Fu Hong - Sunflowers in Morning Fu Hong - Sunflowers in Morning
Jenny Pihan Fine Art, now at Frankston and
Sorrento, presents an impeccable stable of
Australian and international artists selected by
the guiding principle of “Quality Works – Happy
Clients”…excellence is what you see and
excellence is what you get.
Represented are an exceptional
range of artists covering the
echelon from emerging to award
winning artists of acknowledged
national and international
pictorial achievement covering a
diversity of stylistic expressions.
Importantly, between scheduled
exhibitions JPFA hangs a
characteristic display of
artist’s recent works, and a
comprehensive stockroom of
paintings (at the Frankston
space) is available for
spontaneous assisted perusal or
by appointment.
“Two Artists – One Space” where ‘East
meets West’ reveals the precocious paring in
simultaneous solo shows of award winning
figurative modernist Fu Hong, and inventive
surreal abstractionist Michael Berry, each primed
to push the boundaries of his vision, and equally
invigorate the one enormous space which is Glen
Eira City Council Gallery opening August 28 to
September 9.
This exhibition promises to be inspiring and
challenging to both artists and audience alike.
Subtle watercolourist John Orlando Birt opens
with his first one man show at the Frankston
gallery from September 21 to 30…an inveterate
artist traveller he favors painting en plein air on
fieldtrips to unfamiliar destinations and locations.
“It is the challenge of capturing the changing
moods of natural light cast across the unfolding
day with a brighter and clearer palette of colour,
and a fresh harmonious balance,” Birt reflects.
“South American Winterlude” is the showcase
for the combined virtuoso painterly forces of
Alvaro Castagnet, Nic Canosa, Patrick Carroll,
Herman Pekel and Joseph Zbukvic – at JPFA
Frankston from October 12 to 21.
The yearly Winterlude “paint
out” tradition continues…these
paintings destined to convey
the pizzazz and exotic vitality
of the group’s sojourn to
South America, reflecting each
artist’s individual response to
Latino verve.
November 2 to 11 sees the
annual return to Frankston
of Australia’s contemporary
impressionist…Peter Smales
is recognized for his unfettered
optimistic view expressed in
evanescent strikes, heightened
hues and contrasts, saturates
warm tones and an enduring romantic light.
Don’t forget when in Sorrento to visit Jenny
Pihan Fine Art’s boutiques gallery in ocean
beach Road – on can also enjoy the virtual
