principals, Peter Ritchie and Jacqui Ellis, jointly
operate the Rosebud branch.

She continued that Wizard Rosebud had hired
two new mobile lending managers to help
accommodate the high level of demand from
local residents.
“Being accessible at times that suits the
customer is vital, so I am delighted to announce
the appointment of our two new staff, Greg
Hood and Rebecca Straub.”
Prior to joining Wizard, Greg spent more than
15 years as a lending manager, while Rebecca
specialised in property subdivisions.
Jacqui also stated that the RBA’s decision to
increase rates on Wednesday, 8 August would
be the catalyst for more people to take a closer
look at their home loans.
“We are encouraging customers to take stock
of their financial situation and think about where
they can cut discretionary spending,” she said.
“Humble practices, such as taking lunch to
work or putting the recent tax cuts into your
mortgage can provide a buffer against the
rate rises.”
Additionally, Jacqui believes people should
periodically explore the option of refinancing to
ensure they are deriving a competitive interest
rate and the maximum benefit from their
existing loan.
“Another strategy is to consider fixing
your interest rate, particularly given some
economists are predicting that rates may rise
again later in the year,” she said.
“That way, if the RBA decides to lift rates again,
you'd be protected from any more hits to the
hip pocket and be secure in the knowledge that
your mortgage repayments won't change over
the fixed period.”
